Ah, the illustrious Mistress 9. Who doesn't love her? What I can tell you about the fataly beautiful Messiah of Silence isn't much. She is an extraterrestrial entity that invaded the body of Hotaru after Hotaru was killed in a lab explosion. Mistress 9's goal was to bring her master Pharoah 90 to the Earth and to cover the Earth in something called The Silence. To do this she had to reach her full powers and this was where Doctor Tomoe and his assisstants came in. They had to gather heart crystals to fuel Mistress 9's energy. As they continueally failed Mistress 9 grew weaker. Kaorinite solved the problem of failure when she kidnapped Rini, Hotaru's best friend, and offered her heart crystal to the Messiah. Upon swallowing it Hotaru transformed into Mistress 9 and promptly killed Kaorinite. Now that she had reached her full power Mistress 9 captured Sailor Moon and transformed into Hotaru trying to trick her. Mistress 9 screwed up though calling Sailor Moon Serena. Sailor Moon caught on to the trick just as Uranus and Neptune arrived having dealt with Germatoid already. In the confrontation Uranus and Neptune launched attacks at Mistress 9 that Sailor Moon threw herself into the attacks to protect Mistress 9. Sailor Moon firmly belived that Hotaru was still alive inside Mistress 9 which was true no matter how hard Mistress 9 tried to get rid of her. Mistress 9 tricked Sailor Moon into giving her the Purity Chalice and with a triumphant laugh thrust the cup into the machine and called her master. In the explosion of energy that occured when Pharoah 90 began descending towards the Earth Mistress 9 was hurt. Doctor Tomoe, now restored to his former good guy status, cradled her as Hotaru fought to free herself. In a rush of loving memories of her best friend Rini and her father Hotaru came to herself with a start and the Messiah of Silence desintigrated with a shattering scream. Mistress 9 ceased to exist. |
